Ad creep is the spread of advertising to places and activities that were once ad-free. There are few places on this planet where advertising is not found - even places we think are ad-free are sometimes not. In the wilderness we may see a shoe print with a logo marked into the soil. Discarded brand-name products sit at the bottoms of rivers and lakes and corporate-sponsored national parks and trailheads are becoming more common. This guide looks at examples of ad creep to examine how the advertising industry is shifting and becoming ever more present in our environment.
