NMMLP is an outreach project of Albuquerque Academy. In this policy, NMMLP refers to the New Mexico Media Literacy Project and Albuquerque Academy staff, board members, cooperating attorneys, interns, volunteers and consultants.
In general, NMMLP treats your contact information as private and confidential. NMMLP will not give, sell, rent, exchange or otherwise provide your information with anyone else without your prior consent except when compelled by law - see below.
Website Policy
NMMLP servers may record the IP address of the computer you are using; the browser software you use and your operating system; the date and time you access our site; and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site. We use this information to measure the number of visitors to different sections of the site, to diagnose and correct system errors, and to improve the site. We do not connect this information to your name or identity, and we periodically delete this information from the server.
We make limited use of "cookies" on this site for features such as discussion boards. These cookies are only accessible by NMMLP and are typically deleted as soon as possible.
Registration
You must provide some information to us in order to access all the features of this website:
To sign up to receive email alerts, you must provide a valid email address.
To post comments in the discussion forum, you must provide an email address, name, city and state. We ask for your name, city and state to help prevent fraudulent registrations and to help forum users identify the source of comments.
To purchase a product, review your account information or view the contents of your cart, you must provide an email address, name, street address, city, state, zip/postal code and telephone number, as well as payment information (credit card number, etc.) We need this information for online payment verification. All payment information is handled through a secure server. Credit card numbers are not stored on our website.
If you register in any of the above ways, we will email you occasional alerts when new kits are available, special offers, tips on doing media literacy and other information related to this website.
We will NOT send you the monthly e-newsletter from the New Mexico Media Literacy Project unless you checked the box when you registered. If you would like to receive the NMMLP e-newsletter, you can sign up on the My Account page.
You will not be contacted in any other way, nor will your information be offered to a third party. We do not sell, rent or share our mailing lists.
Compelled Disclosure
If we are required by law to disclose any information that you have provided us, we will attempt to give you notice (unless we are prohibited) that a request for your information has been made, in order to give you an opportunity to object. We will attempt to provide this notice by email, if you have given us an email address. If you do not challenge the disclosure request, we may be legally required to turn over your information.
